Launch Exhibition – Blessed Are The Art Makers
The W Project celebrates women working across the creative industries. We aim to promote empowering role-models and help build a better creative community for the future.
Launched on the 8th of March 2011, the W Project marked the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, with an exhibition of work
by established and emerging female talent across multiple creative disciplines. Including, Fred Butler, Jiggery Pokery, Tara Darby and Chrissie Abbott to name a few.
Activities that took place over the course of the exhibition included a film night by The Firm, with Q&A and screenings of Stanley Pickle and Sisters in Law. Josephine Chime’s interactive photo opportunity and Bricolage Project Workshop. Closing party with dinner from The Sit Down Affair and guest speakers including Caryn Franklin and Debra Bourne from All Walks Beyond The Catwalk.
