After graduating from The London College of Fashion in 2009 with distinction in MA Fashion Journalism, Loren Platt went on to style and produce for Adidas, Reebok, Dickies, Nike, Umbro, Atlantic Records, Platform, Vice, and Cooler Magazine.
Prior to this in 2008, Loren co-founded club night WORK IT, hoping to fill the gaping hole in East London for 90s R&B. Going from strength to strength, WORK IT produce parties in London and Manchester as well as working with clients including, Selfridges, Warner Music Group and Lovebox to recreate the brands dynamic energy. Recently expanding further with the launch of the WORK IT Agency, offering creative event production and consultancy.
Designing T-shirt releases sold exclusively at Selfridges, while selling unique 90s originals in the pop up shop at WAH Nails and Supermarket Sarah, we continue to expand the WORK IT brand in all directions. Most recently launching another pop up shop with an exclusive collection of Ts, Sweats and Mugs at Urban Outfitters Oxford Street.
Meanwhile continuing to work as a freelance creative producer and stylist Loren spotted another gap that required filling. Co-founded with Teo Connor in March 2011, The W Project celebrates women working across the creative industries, promoting empowering role-models to help build a better creative community for the future. With social awareness and a passion for challenging stereotypes Loren continues to support the under represented voice, through producing events, exhibitions, collaborations, film screenings and youth workshops.
